Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. Students receive rigorous theoretical and practical training, design their own research projects, participate in internships and gain entrepreneurial skills in English. The faculty is comprised of current researchers with international accreditation and achievements.

Skoltech brings the leading international experts to Skolkovo Robotics Conference!

As a partner at the Second Skolkovo Robotics International Conference, which is going to begin on March 1-2, 2014 in the first Skolkovo Innovation City bulding «The Hypercube” and expected to achieve about 1,000 guests and participants, Skoltech holds a round-table discussion «The Great Unsolved Problems of Interaction between Humans and Robots” moderated by Maxim Kiselev, Director of Leadership Programs. The list of key speakers participated in the round-table includes: Aleksander Kaplan, MSU; Nadezhda Zilberman, TPU; Frank Tobe, the owner of Robostox company, who managed to develop robotics and automation tools into a market product quoted at the NASDAQ stock exchange; Dr. Gianmarco Veruggio, the creator of Roboethics – principles of humans behavior by constructing and using robots; and Kate Darling, Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a world-class expert in legal issues of interaction between humans and robots.

Inivited by Skoltech the experts’ll also provide lectures in the framework of Skolkovo conference:

Frank Tobe

The owner and publisher of The Robot Report, a robotic news and business portal. In early 2013, with some entrepreneurial partners, he co-founded Robo-stox, the company that developed a tracking index reflecting the performance of robotics-related and/or automation-related companies worldwide: the Robo-stox Global Robotics & Automation Index. The index was created from a comprehensive database of robotics companies, gathered from The Robot Report’s proceedings. That turned  robotics and automation tools into a market product quoted at the NASDAQ stock exchange.

On November 12, with a one-armed robot and a 3-fingered gripper (hand), along with friends and business partners, in a widely seen media event, the Robo-stox family used the robot to ring the closing bell of the NASDAQ exchange.
