The establishment of CREIs in close cooperation with one (or more) international and Russian academic partner institutions is done because we believe this is the most efficient and fastest way to establish a new world-class graduate research university complementing the existing research and educational system in Russia and develop a gateway between Russia and the rest of the world. CREI partners are chosen based on excellence and relevance.

Skoltech is responsible for the effective use of the funds. Therefore, there will be a number of requirements and governance mechanisms outlined in the agreements that apply to all CREI partnerships.

Please note that you can participate in any grant research programs which are outside of grant funding opportunities posted on Skoltech web-site and contribute to your research and Skoltech development.

Skoltech CREIs also employ the SDP (Strategic Development Program). Its purpose is to support the effort to quickly and efficiently develop capacity for Skoltech on priority areas. It is a number of capacity building requirements and governance mechanisms outlined in the agreements that apply to all awardees.
