Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. The first testing station for 5G equipment is launched at Skoltech

On September 12, the National Technology Initiative (NTI) competence center launched the first 5G base station at Skoltech within the framework of a “pilot zone” for Russian equipment developers. Testing will take place at a frequency range of 4.8-4.99 GHz and tests have already been conducted on 5G smartphones (Huawei Mate 20X), during which data transfer speeds reached of over 300mb/s. The number of 5G stations is expected to increase towards the end of the year.
