Skoltech is proud to announce that Professor Andrzej Cichocki has been named on the annual Highly Cited Researchers™ 2021 list from Clarivate among six researchers from Russia. Professor Cichocki’s work has been recognized to significantly impact the research community in artificial intelligence, brain-computer interface, and tensor decomposition, as evidenced by the rate at which peers cite his recent works and his H-index 69.

“I am extremely happy to be nominated by WoS as Highly Cited Researcher since I think it is essential to do research and write scientific papers that can influence and inspire a large community of engineers and researchers for new developments.  Becoming a Highly Cited Researcher is also a recognition of the support  I have received from many excellent colleagues and scientific collaborators,” – says Professor Andrzej Cichocki.

Since 2001, the Highly Cited Researchers™ list has identified global research scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated exceptional influence – reflected through their publication of multiple papers frequently cited by their peers during the last decade. Of the world’s population of scientists, these individuals are 1 in 1000. Researchers across the world eagerly anticipate the launch of the Highly Cited Researchers list each year and hundreds of organizations also celebrate the inclusion of their researchers on the list. The list identifies the research institutions and countries where they are based.

The methodology that determines the “who’s who” of influential researchers draws on the data and analysis performed by bibliometric experts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information™ at Clarivate.
