The Supervisory Board of the World-class Science Center for Rational Development of Liquid Hydrocarbons held a meeting on January 19 under the chair of President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to review the Center’s performance 2020-2021, including its basic research results and technology applications for the oil and gas sector.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Aide to the President of Tatarstan Albert Gilmutdinov, Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, and head of the Skoltech Center for Petroleum Science and Engineering Mikhail Spasennykh, among others.
The WSC engages in research and development to provide the Russian economy with inexpensive and eco-friendly oil. A total of 10 world-class science centers have already been launched in Russia.
The WSC-founding consortium coordinated by Kazan Federal University groups Skoltech, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
