Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. Students receive rigorous theoretical and practical training, design their own research projects, participate in internships and gain entrepreneurial skills in English. The faculty is comprised of current researchers with international accreditation and achievements.

Leaders of UK universities visit Skoltech

On Jan. 25, Skoltech held a meeting with delegates from U.K. universities to discuss academic cooperation with the Institute.

Among the guests were Associate Vice President Stephen Flint of the University of Manchester, Pro Vice Chancellor John Woodward of Northumbria University, Pro Vice Chancellor Paul Inman of the University of Reading, and Co-Director Martin Siegert of the Grantham Institute, Imperial College London, among others.

Skoltech President Alexander Kuleshov, Provost Keith Stevenson, and professors with a solid academic background in the U.K. told the guests about Skoltech’s educational advances and breakthrough research. They were also shown around the Institute laboratories and facilities.

British Library Head of International Marcie Hopkins, the organization’s strategic lead for international engagement activities, who was part of the U.K. delegation, examined the Institute’s library facilities, which are unusual for Russia, together with Skoltech Head of Library Ivan Smagin.
