Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. Students receive rigorous theoretical and practical training, design their own research projects, participate in internships and gain entrepreneurial skills in English. Skoltech Industry Day: science and industry meet for an open dialogue

The annual conference, Skoltech Industry Day, was successfully held on October 12th and gathered on campus more than 100 industrial partners, about 300 students, faculty and Skolkovo community.  
 
Plenary session, opened with a welcome speech by Skoltech President Alexander Kuleshov, brought on stage guest speakers from the industry. Tatiana Yakovleva, Senior Researcher at M&S Decisions, touched upon current technological challenges which bring new opportunities to companies for cooperation between science and industry. Oleg Rogov, CEO and founder of Vein CV, focused on bridging students and companies in various professional formats.
Skoltech Applied AI center outlined its projects critical for the national economic domains and aimed at sustainable development. 
During the conference, MSc-2 students traditionally showcased their internship projects during poster sessions, answered questions from industry representatives and exchanged experiences.  This year 234 students did 190 industrial immersion projects in 105 companies, including 44 Skolkovo resident companies and 17 Skoltech startups. 
 
10 outstanding student projects were recognized by the Industrial Immersion Excellence Award. Among them: Nikita Kuznetsov (ACS) – project with Samsung R&D Institute Rus,  Irina Shushpannikova (IoTWT) – project in Neurotrend, Mert Alper (SES) – project with Tsuru Robotics, team of Anastasia Yaschenko, Andrew Spiridonov and Polina Karpikova  (DS)   - project in Samsung R&D Institute Russia, Anna Kondrashina (LS) -  project with M&S Decisions, team of Anna Shubnaya, Bakhtiyar Kazbekov and Yasir Khan (ES) – Tekvel, Yanislav Morozov (PE) -  project with Sakhalin Energy, group of Olga Griaznova and Nikita Grishaev (PQM)  - project in TetraQuant, Alina Pavlova (MS) – project in Rustor, Mikhail Lukianov (AMT) – project with Bioimaging.

Networking as a key element of the Industry Day was reinforced by the Career Fair. The companies were happy to present their portfolio and activities to Skoltech students, and students with readiness seized the chance to talk to the industry representatives about future employment opportunities. Career Fair with partner companies was included in the Industry Day program for the first time and proved itself a very beneficial format for all parties involved!  Students appreciated the opportunity to openly talk to companies, among which were SBER, Yandex, DOM.RF, Generium, MS Decisions, Rapid Bio, BIOCAD, Vein CV, AIRI, TetraQuant, Sintez, Axenix (ex-Accenture), RQC, RENA Solutions.   
Also, Startup Corner brought together student startups: Solaris, Spheroid Revolution, IZI Cad, Skoltech Startup Club, Skoltech Triple Point. 
 
The second part of the program embodied a round table of the Vladimir Zelman Center for Neurobiology and Brain rehabilitation. Professionals from biotech industry talked about the latest rehabilitation methods using modern achievements in the field of molecular biology and neurophysiology. The center and its partners presented the results of their projects and discussed their collaboration potential.
