Anatoly Vershik, chief research scientist at the St. Petersburg branch of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics of RAS, Professor of St. Petersburg State University, participated in the “Mathematical walks” project. For the stroll journalists and scientist picked the scenic shore of the Gulf of Finland in Repino: it’s right here that the international conference on information theory organized by IITP RAS took place 40 years ago.
