Skoltech signs cooperation agreement with ROSATOM additive manufacturing subsidiary

The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) has signed an agreement with Rusatom Additive Technologies (RusAT), a special purpose subsidiary of Russian nuclear energy giant ROSATOM’s fuel company TVEL.

The agreement, which was signed on Thursday during the Skolkovo Startup Village, stipulates that the two organizations will cooperate on scientific and technical matters related to shared scientific, technical and innovative activities.

The agreement states that the parties will work together to conduct joint scientific research and experiments related to the creation of new materials for additive manufacturing technologies based on aluminum and other metals. This partnership will extend to the production and use of such technologies in various industries and the attraction of relevant financing under the state and federal target programs. The agreement also calls for the creation of a joint working group, the exchange of scientific and technical information, the bolstering of relevant skills among scientists and specialists, and the creation of internships.
