PhD student in Engineering Systems wins third place at BRICS Women Leaders Summit in India

Sahar Moghimian, co-founder of the Monisensa startup and PhD student in the Engineering Systems program, participated in the BRICS CCI Women Empowerment Summit 2026 in India and secured third place in the Global Women Leadership Program.

Sahar is supervised by Associate Professor Henni Ouerdane (Physics and Energy Conversion Technologies Group). In the same category, Anna Shkromada, founder of the startup Plantery, received a special jury mention.

During her visit, Sahar met with representatives from Indian government ministries, the South African delegation, and researchers at NASSCOM to discuss potential collaborations. The outcomes may serve as a foundation for new international partnerships involving Skoltech-affiliated startups.
