Skoltech to host young specialists from around the world for InteRussia Internship Program
May 22, 2026

From August 31 to September 26, 2026, participants of the InteRussia internship program in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) will gather at Skoltech. Young specialists from around the world will learn about Russia’s scientific and technological development, take part in the Skoltech Innovation Workshop, and exchange experiences with peers from different countries. The eligibility criteria for the competitive selection process, as well as the registration form, are available on the InteRussia website.

The InteRussia internship program for foreign specialists in STEM is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organization in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and Skoltech as part of Rossotrudnichestvo’s flagship New Generation initiative with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. The initiative brings together graduates of leading universities and early-career researchers interested in the development of technology entrepreneurship and international scientific cooperation.

The Skoltech Innovation Workshop is an intensive course in technology entrepreneurship that is mandatory for all first-year MSc students at the Institute. Over the course of a month, new students from all programs immerse themselves in the technology project creation cycle, work in teams under the guidance of mentors, create prototypes of their solutions, receive feedback from experts, and finally present their projects at final defenses. The format is designed to mirror the conditions of the real technology market.

Applications to participate in the program are open until June 29 on the website. Participants must be foreign specialists in STEM aged 21 to 35, permanently residing outside the Russian Federation, with no academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or employers at the time of application, and with English proficiency of at least B2 level. The organizers provide travel from the participant’s place of residence to Moscow, accommodation, health insurance, and a stipend for the duration of the internship.
