“The University of Entrepreneurs is a tool for integrating innovations into the real sector of the economy. We are creating a unique environment where the demands of business meet the opportunities of science and the energy of students. The result of this synergy will be breakthrough market-ready products that transform entire industries and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty,” said Grigory Gorchakov, Director General of the “University of Entrepreneurs” Autonomous Non-Profit Organization.

The initiative is centered around workshops where project teams, guided by experienced entrepreneurs and supported by academic supervisors from universities, develop cutting-edge products. These products can be integrated into key areas of life in Moscow and the country as a whole — from the digitalization of medical services and the development of smart transportation systems to enhancing the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure.

The program opening ceremony took place on September 18 in the Lomonosov cluster. It was attended by government representatives, leading Moscow universities, founders and leaders of major businesses, and students. The event also featured an exhibition of innovative products and technological solutions created by university teams and program partner companies. At the exhibition, Skoltech presented the Hyperspectrus startup. Its team is developing a hyperspectral imaging system for biomedicine.

The University of Entrepreneurs gives students an opportunity to develop real products based on business needs while still studying and to gain valuable experience from business leaders through close collaboration. Students will work weekly on projects in the workshops, participate in expert sessions, attend meetings with entrepreneurs, and go on field placements at companies.
