Professor Andrei A.Osiptsov DSc has work experience at the Moscow Research Center of Schlumberger company (2005–2016), as well as at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University (2005–2014). The scientific interests of Prof. Osiptsov lie in the field of asymptotic methods, mechanics of multiphase media, assessment of climate risks and study of the thermomechanics of permafrost, as well as in the field of development of hybrid approaches based on hydromechanics and artificial intelligence. In the area of new technologies for the oil and gas industry, Prof. Osiptsov is leading R&D projects for Russian oil and gas companies on hydromechanical and geomechanical modelling and the development of prototypes of the computational core of simulators for the design of oilfield service technologies over the entire life cycle of a well (drilling, cementing, multistage hydraulic fracturing, flowback, well testing, CO2 storage). Prof. Osiptsov has about 90 publications in peer-reviewed editions (Scopus), including about 50 full journal articles and 6 granted patents. In 2021, a patent authored by Prof. Osiptsov jointly with colleagues from Gazprom Neft PJSC won the FIPS patent competition in the “Large Business” category. At Skoltech, Prof. Andrey Osiptsov is Head the Laboratory for Digital Modelling of Multiphase Systems in Oil and Gas lndustry of the Center for Petroleum Science and Engineering since 2018, and also since 2026 is the director of PhD program “Mathematics and Mechanics.” In 2021–2025, Prof. Osiptsov was the director of the Project Center for Energy Transition and ESG. In 2024, Prof. Osiptsov was included in the Top 2% World Scientist List by Elsevier in the Energy category.
