Abstract: As part of the internship, it is necessary to develop a mechanical model of a wire in a span between two poles of an overhead power line (overhead line). The model will allow, based on measurements of a limited set of parameters (for example, the position of the wire), to assess the current state of other characteristics that are more complex for direct measurement. The key task is to simplify the monitoring hardware: reducing the cost and complexity of equipment placed on overhead line wires while maintaining the functionality of the system, in particular, for the purpose of diagnosing ice formation.

Internship duration: 1.5 – 2 months, depending on the intensity of the visit

Requirements for the candidate:

— Knowledge of Python and mathematical modeling skills;

— Willingness to further participate in physical experiments to validate the developed model.

Monthly compensation: TBD on a case-by-case basis
