Shadfar Davoodi, Assistant Professor at Skoltech, holds a PhD in Engineering. His research focuses on machine learning and data-driven methods for scientific and engineering applications. He develops AI models and intelligent systems for complex real-world problems. He is recognized as one of the world's top 2% most-cited scientists, according to the Elsevier ranking (2025). Shadfar was awarded the SPE Regional Data Science and Engineering Analytics Award in 2023 by the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He also serves as Associate Editor of several high-quality international engineering journals.

At Skoltech Shadfar teaches the course "Research Methodology: Computational and Data Science and Engineering" for the PhD program "Computational and Data Science and Engineering".
