Skolkovo Tech President Edward F. Crawley arrived in Beijing, China today to be honored with membership into the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).
During the visit, President Crawley will attend the 11th General Assembly of the Chinese Academy, where he will meet Zho Ji, the CAE President and former Minister of Education from 2003-09; give a presentation on engineering called: “Conceiving-Designing-Implementing-Operating;” and strengthen ties with the Chinese academic community.
“I am very honored to be included into the Academy with such exceptional colleagues and hope to be able to continue my work with them,” said President Crawley. “By strengthening international bonds in academia, we will be able to further our collective success.”
The Academy established in 1994 consists of China’s leading academics in engineering and technological sciences to coordinate and direct strategic studies, advise on key issues in their fields and promote engineering and technological sciences in China.
