Skoltech and the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) signed an agreement to conduct research into wings with composite materials and their subsequent certification, demonstrating the Institute’s dedication to research with a consideration for innovation.
Researchers from one of Skoltech’s newest Centers for Research, Education and Innovation (CREIs) in Advanced Structures, Processes and Engineered Materials will conduct the research at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, labs for the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI), and at the CREI’s foreign partner institutes. Skoltech’s CREI in Advanced Structures, Processes and Engineered Materials unites leading researchers from Skoltech and partner institutes, including: TsAGI (Russia), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), and University of Dayton Research Institute (USA).
Skoltech and UAC announced their collaboration during the 50th International Paris Air Show Le Bourget. Both actions are a continuation of a partnership set in motion by a Memorandum on cooperation for research in the fields of advanced structures, processes and engineered materials as well as educational programs in those areas.
