Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. Students receive rigorous theoretical and practical training, design their own research projects, participate in internships and gain entrepreneurial skills in English. The faculty is comprised of current researchers with international accreditation and achievements.

Skoltech Commencement Ceremony, 2019

The tension and excitement in the air at Skoltech’s new campus on Friday was almost palpable as students and faculty prepared for the 2019 Commencement Ceremony, at which 217 MSc students were to graduate (205 in attendance). This was to be the first Commencement Ceremony to take place at the new campus.

After a welcome drinks reception and with a livestream in place for the Skoltech Facebook page, the ceremony got underway with Skoltech Provost, Keith Stevenson, making the opening speech. Keynote speaker, Ksenia Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia, who remembers the Skoltech project during its early years, stated:

“I’m very glad to see that this university is growing, developing and achieving results. The new campus is impressive and I would like to welcome the fifth Skoltech class and congratulate you all on the successful completion of the program. I wish you all the best!” – Ksenia Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia

As all this unfolded, MSc and PhD students waited in anticipation to receive their diplomas and Academic Excellence Certificates from the Provost, Keith Stevenson and Anna Derevnina, Dean of Education. Select students also received awards for Best Research Thesis and Entrepreneurial Spirit:
