On Saturday, August 31, the #MLSS Open Community Day took place at #Skoltech’s new campus. With over 1300 registrations and 500 participants, this was a major event. The topics discussed included the latest advances in reinforcement learning, quantum technologies, cyber-sport and other areas where ML is applied. Altogether, there were 21 presentations in the format of 3 parallel sessions, 2 round tables (“ML as a Fuel for Telecom”, and “Is ML the Next Breakthrough in Healthcare?”), and a poster session. The speakers were from world-renowned institutions such as the University of Oxford, UCL, Max Planck Institute, as well as renowned companies involved in the latest advances in applications for healthcare, telecommunications, NLP, finance, and quantum computing.
