The Skoltech Space Center (SSC) takes an active part in international conferences and forums in the aerospace field. On November 19-20, 2019, in Wuhan (Hubai province, China), the Fifth China (International) Commercial Aerospace Forum took place, and a delegation of Russian companies came together under the auspices the Russia-China Council for Science and Innovation.
The SSC deputy director Andrey Potapov visited the forum and presented a report on the center’s promising projects in the field of digital design for the space industry. Agreements were reached on further elaboration on proposals with subsections of the Chinese Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and a number of private Chinese companies.
The China (International) Commercial Aerospace Forum is the first professional forum in the field of commercial aerospace in China. Starting in 2015, the forum has been held annually for four consecutive years and has laid the milestone in developing China’s aerospace and provided an exchange and cooperation platform to comprehensively display the development of the commercial aerospace industry.
The forum aims to bring together the elites and quality resources in the field of commercial aerospace to discuss technological achievements and innovative ideas, explore development paths, and boost industrial resource integration and the rapid development of the commercial aerospace industry. The participants include leaders of related departments from major space countries as well as leaders from leading commercial aerospace enterprises, scientific research institutes, universities & colleges, social organizations, and the investment and financial sectors.
