Skoltech is an international graduate research-focused university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011. Skoltech's curriculum focuses on technology and innovation, offering Master's programs in 11 technological disciplines. Students receive rigorous theoretical and practical training, design their own research projects, participate in internships and gain entrepreneurial skills in English. The German Ambassador to Russia, His Excellency Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, who took up his position last September, 2019, visited Skoltech today for the first time and met with Provost Keith Stevenson and Vice President for Communications and Community Development Alexei Sitnikov. During the visit the delegation toured the campus and attended a presentation by Professor Igor Uzhinsky of the Center for Design, Manufacturing and Materials. Ambassador von Geyr also visited Skolkovo Technopark, where he had a private meeting with Dr. Viktor Vekselberg, the Chairman of the Skolkovo Board of Directors.
