Skoltech welcomes development institutions and consultants to discuss the role of institutions and the innovation strategy of VEB.RF

Today Skoltech hosted a discussion on the VEB.RF innovation strategy and the role of development institutions, chaired by VEB.RF Deputy Chairman Vyacheslav Shulenin and featuring the leaders of the growing system of development institutions including Skoltech, the Skolkovo Foundation, Rusnano, Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, Skolkovo Ventures, the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies, Innovation Promotion Fund, and the Agency for Technological Development.
The meeting launched the search for common ground for innovation in Russia.
Shulenin noted that “the task for the development institutions today is to establish optimal approaches to cooperation which can create synergy and lead to a qualitative leap for the whole tech industry.”
He highlighted the need to invite all development institutions to this conversation and not just the ones under VEB.RF coordination. Alexander Kuleshov, the President of Skoltech, which stands ready to become the research and innovation hub for all development institutions, offered his support for the idea of a single mechanism, noting that mainstream structures acting as tree trunks are needed for startups supported by all institutions to become branches of these trees.
