Skoltech and HSE invite students in their last year of math- and IT-related bachelor’s or master’s studies to compete in solving advanced challenges in machine learning. The winners of the Math of Machine Learning Olympiad will get prizes from the organizers and enrollment in the joint HSE-Skoltech “Math of Machine Learning” master’s program without passing the competitive selection. Apply for the olympiad until May 5.

The online selection round includes portfolio competition. The final round will be held at Skoltech on May 25 and 26. Winning the olympiad will be equated with obtaining the highest possible score for the entrance examinations for the “Mathematics of Machine Learning” master’s program offered at HSE and “Math of Machine Learning” track of the “Data Science” master’s program at Skoltech. Submit your application at the website and read a success story of Aleksandr Rubashevskii, a Skoltech PhD student and graduate of the Skoltech-HSE joint master’s program.

The “Math of Machine Learning” master’s program was recognized as the best educational initiative of the year at the Data Fusion 2023 conference. It is aimed at training researchers in the field of modern theory of statistical learning — the main section of machine learning theory. The graduates will receive certificates from both universities.

In addition to the basic and elective courses, the program will involve the world’s leading scientists to teach special courses on machine learning theory and related disciplines of mathematics. Students will be able to participate in annual school conferences on information technology and modern optimization methods.
