As a means of preventing the spread of the coronavirus infection, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education has recommended all higher educational institutions in Russia to switch to distance learning. Starting on March 17 Skoltech has been conducting its educational activities online.
Сlasses of Term 3 are moved to remote, online learning mode (i.e. no in-person classes at Skoltech). Instructors are recommended to use the Canvas Video Conferencing tool LMS, but may choose to use an equivalent system (e.g. Zoom).
The start of Term 4 is delayed until April 13 to allow for faculty and students to move to on-line learning structure should the situation worsen. The Term 4 schedule will be modified to reflect changes.
Skoltech president Alexander Kuleshov: “I do not have any doubt that our joint efforts will lead Skoltech to resist the challenge and to overcome all the difficulties. I believe that Skoltech community will not hesitate to treat the challenge with understanding and wisdom to serve the Institute and the world in general.”
