On May 24, as part of the Startup Village innovation conference, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology held the Skoltech Triple Point Student Entrepreneurship Festival. The festival, organized by students for students, gathered young tech entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and an expert community of several hundred people. The festival was broadcast in Sber’s KoMeta metaverse as part of Sber’s Entrepreneurship Week.
Student startups competed in three topic areas: Social Tech and IT/AI tracks held Demo Days, while in the Energy&ESG track, the final competition for pre-launch startups Skoltech Tripple Point Launch took place with a prize fund of over 1 million rubles from “Energytechhub Petersburg”. Additionally, during the festival, there were lectures, poster presentations, mentoring sessions, and networking activities.
In its two years of existence, Skoltech Triple Point has evolved from a pilot version of a competition for Skoltech students to a full-fledged track for Energy&ESG startups. It has also launched the Pilot versions of two more tracks and attracted new partners and students from other universities.

Here are the projects that have received major support from the expert jury and the audience.
Skoltech Triple Point Launch
Energy+ESG, supported by the general partner “Energytechnohub Petersburg”.
LAUNCH is the final competition of the Energy&ESG track where teams are invited to demonstrate their readiness to launch a product. According to the terms, the team should satisfy at least one of the three conditions: have sales, pilot, or an agreement on the intention to sell or pilot.
This year, the jury consisted of partners and industry experts. In the Energy&ESG track, there were representatives of “Energytechnohub Petersburg”, “TMK”, the investment fund “New Industry”, and the Energy Efficiency Cluster of Skolkovo Foundation. Skoltech Triple Point Launch became the culmination of a series of three competitions for projects at different stages of maturity: from idea pitch to launch of a product. The general partner of the track, “Energytechnohub Petersburg”, supported the project with financing, mentoring, and expertise. Many of the projects presented in the competition address the company’s challenges.
1st prize – 500,000 rubles: Montisensa is the next-generation virtual energy audit software, that increases energy savings with a reduced number of sensors used.
2nd prize – 350,000 rubles: ARSY is a digital online platform for safety training that uses AR technology.
3rd prize – 200,000 rubles: NavalSheep is a project that optimizes maritime logistics to an oil platform.
Audience Sympathy Award – 40,000 rubles: ProteinForge is a bacterial alternative to costly and toxic catalysts for oil refining.
Twenty teams participated in the Demo Day of the new tracks. Industrial partners provided feedback and awarded the projects they wanted to support with funding or expertise.
Social Tech, supported by the general partner “Our Future” Foundation
The Social Tech track backs projects that use technology to address issues of equity, and social justice and support citizen action. During the Demo day, there were pitch and mentoring sessions, as well as lectures about the success criteria of social initiatives and technologies for a sustainable future. The next step for Skoltech and “Our Future” Foundation is to jointly launch a full cycle of competitions.
The prize from the “Our Future” Foundation – 100,000 rubles -– and Prize from Impact Hub Moscow — mentoring: Speechy is an App for hard-of-hearing children aged 3 to 7 years that helps them practice hearing and pronunciation skills through gaming exercises.
The prize from Okkam – mentoring: Olympick is a mobile App that aggregates information about olympiads, scientific internships, project activities, grants, scholarships, educational courses, and camps for schoolchildren and students. The App has a personalized recommendation system and event calendar that simplifies participation planning.
IT/AI Track
The prize from Sber is off-competition access to trackers within the SberStudent accelerator and to the SberUnity platform: Recap is an AI secretary that summarizes the content of the meeting.
The prize from Okkam – mentoring: AIR is a marketplace for AI models, a platform that allows using the most popular AI solutions without country restrictions and the need for high computational power.

Skoltech Triple Point is a student startup competition organized in 2021 at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. Within two years, more than 135 teams have participated in the competition. Over ten innovative projects have received funding from its fund totaling more than 3 million rubles!
