The Skoltech Alumni Association
The Skoltech Alumni Association (SAA) is the official representative body for all Skoltech alumni in Russia and throughout the world.
The SAA was formally organized by the institute’s first graduating class on July 17th, 2015, the very first graduation day.
The mission of the SAA is to promote the welfare of Skoltech and its alumni by cultivating a mutually beneficial relationship between Skoltech and the growing community of its alumni worldwide. SAA achieves its mission through the following strategic directions:
- Building the alumni community’s commitment and support for Skoltech.
- Serve Skoltech’s and its alumni’s needs for human, financial, and intellectual resources.
- Engage and support Skoltech students with entrepreneurial activities.
Skoltech alumni form a diverse community of graduates with a strong focus on technology commercialization.
Main characteristics of the Skoltech alumni include, but are not limited to:
- rich international experience and networks.
- extensive exposure to team projects and group work.
- solid scientific and technological understanding.
The characteristics above make the Skoltech alumni to be catalysts for economic growth and development worldwide.
Alumni Association will organize events for Skoltech graduates to let them keep in touch and support each other on the path of life. On November 15th, Student council and Alumni Association organized Walking tour for Skoltech students.Even a snowfall couldn’t stop us to explore Kitay gorod and climb on top of Children Shopping center! We hope it will become a good tradition and those who wasn’t with us that day will join us next time!
On November 21st, the Skoltech Alumni Association held the first entrepreneurial challenge. Dozens of guests attended the event, enjoyed a good atmosphere,
refreshments and of course presentations and exchange of unique ideas. Prizes were awarded as well: the “Be close” project, by Maria Goldstein and Mariya Popova won the 1st stage selection for 50K Rubles. The “Tardis 3d” project, by Vahe Taamazyan, Mikhail Matrosov, and Stanislav Podshivalov, won the 2nd stage selection for 100K Rubles. Our congratulations for the winners!
